• Hepatitis C is a virus
• HCV was discovered in 1989
• More people die each year from Hepatitis C then from HIV
• Hepatitis C is transmitted blood-to-blood. In order to contract it you must come into contact with some Hepatitis C infected blood.

• Drug Users – Former & Current
• Received a blood transfusion or an organ transplant before 1992
• Received clotting factor before 1987
• Having had multiple un-protected sexual partners
• A history of Sexual Transmitted Diseases
• HIV positive individuals
• Hepatitis B positive individuals
• Health care workers
• Dialysis patients
• Individuals who have gotten a tattoo before 1992
• Been to the Dentist before 1992
• Veterans
• Transgender Individuals
• Having lived with and shared personal hygiene products with someone who was Hepatitis C positive
